Wiki Map Policy
Wiki Map provides both an in-app deletion request path and this public web resource for account/data deletion requests.
This page is the public Wiki Map deletion resource for users. Account deletion means removing the app account, map markers (pins), and uploaded photos from the public system.
Open Wiki Map, sign in to your account, go to Settings, and use the account/data deletion request control. This automatically sends a verified request for prompt processing.
If you cannot access the app, email support@wmtan.com from the email address associated with your Wiki Map account. State clearly that you are requesting account and map data deletion.
Uninstalling the app from your phone only removes the local installation. Photos and locations you shared on the community map will persist. You must request data deletion to remove them.
To protect content, WMTAN may ask for identity and account-ownership verification before processing manual deletion requests via email.
Deleting your data or account removes all photos, metadata (EXIF), and location pins you contributed to the public map. The community will no longer see them.
After receiving an email request, WMTAN will respond to confirm when your data has been removed from the active map system.
Certain records related to security, map spam prevention, or moderation (e.g., removed sensitive photos) may be retained for legal compliance or to prevent repeat offenses.
Map data is backed up periodically. Your data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before automatically expiring.
